Privacy Policy

No data collection

VibeCode Lens does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The extension runs entirely inside your browser. Nothing you do with Lens — hovering, locking zones, generating prompts, or capturing screenshots — is sent to any server, third party, or analytics service.

What the extension does locally

• Reads the DOM of the current page to identify UI elements you hover over.
• Captures a screenshot of the visible tab (Pack mode only) to build a local contact sheet — this image never leaves your device.
• Stores your language preference and Pack mode toggle in chrome.storage.local on your device.

No AI API calls

Lens generates prompts using local logic only. It does not call any AI API (Claude, OpenAI, or otherwise). No page content or screenshots are sent to any AI service by the extension itself.

No tracking or analytics

There is no telemetry, crash reporting, usage tracking, or any form of analytics embedded in VibeCode Lens.

Permissions used

• activeTab — to read and highlight elements on the current page.
• scripting — to inject the Lens overlay when activated.
• storage — to save your language and Pack mode preference locally.
• tabs — to capture a visible-tab screenshot for Pack mode contact sheets.
